 **Using the files located in the shared drive: Technical Services\Customer Files\White Cap\ZD421

Create a config file for each printer to include the printer serial number

1. Capture each printer serial number on the Work Order.

2. Go to Google Drive>My Drive> Strategic>Technical Services> Customer Files> White Cap> ZD421

3. Download the file: White_Cap-ZD421_config.zpl

4. Open the downloaded file and paste the serial number of the printer as shown highlighted below (If there are 4 printers on the order, there should be 4 config files)

5. Save the file with the name White_Cap-ZD421_config-[SerialNumber].zpl and close it

Steps to Configure Zebra ZD421 Printers

1. Connect the printer via USB to laptop

2. Open Zebra Setup Utilities and select the appropriate printer

3. Select Open Printer Tools

4. Select Settings

5. Click the ellipse to the right of "Send file" to select the appropriate config file (make sure the serials match) 

6. Select Send

7. Click Send button. you should see a green download icon flashing on the device's screen. Wait for the icon to stoip flashing

8. In ZSU, select the printer and click Open Communication with Printer

9. In the top text area, type ! U1 getvar "wlan.essid" and carriage return so that the cursor goes to the next line

10. "WC-RF" should be returned in the lower text area
