TC8300 - Pending Staging Process

Device Check

Check for both hardware issues before continuing. Check the following: 

Battery and Power 

• Power On/Off: Ensure the device can power on and off normally. 

• Charge Test: Put the device in a cradle to confirm it charges properly. 

Physical Inspection

• Screen Condition: Check for cracks, dead pixels, or touch responsiveness issues.

• Buttons: Ensure all buttons (power, volume, etc.) are functional.

• Ports: Inspect the charging port, headphone jack, and any other external connectors for damage.

• Device Housing: Look for any physical damage to the casing that might indicate a fall or water damage. 

Turn off the device and Proceed to the "Load Approved OS" section 

Load Approved OS - 10-16-10.00-QG-U145-STD-HEL-04

1. Power on Device

2. On Hi There screen > Scan the ByPass GMS Setup Wizard barcode (Found at the bottom of this document)

3. In StageNow app > Scan the Aarons-A10-10.16.10-Base-OSUpdate barcode (Found at the bottom of this document)

4. The Staging Complete will appear > The device will connect to WiFi > Downloading of the OS base package will begin.

5. After download completes > Select Exit

6. Pull down the notification panel and you will see Zebra System Services OS Update is working now 1%... this can take up to 5 minutes

7. The device will display OS Update is Completed Device will be rebooting in 15 seconds > Reset in progress window will show > unit will restart

8. On Hi There screen > Scan the ByPass GMS Setup Wizard barcode (Found at the bottom of this document)

9. In StageNow app > Scan the Aarons-A10-10.16.10-U145-LG-OSUpdate barcode (Found at the bottom of this document)

10. The Staging Complete will appear > The device will connect to WiFi > Downloading of the OS base package will begin.

11. After download completes > Android System Update ... Preparing to update window will appear > Unit will restart

12. Installing System update with colorful circle icon will appear with a progress bar > Unit will restart

The device should now be on the approved OS version. Proceed to the "REX Asset Update" section 

REX Asset Update

1. Open Aaron's REX environment.

2. Select the "Assets" option.

3. Use the magnifying glass on the top right hand corner to search for the asset (copy/paste or scan the serial number).

4. Select the searched asset (another UI will appear to the right side of the screen).

5. Edit the following fields:

   1. • Status = Change the status of the device from “Pending Staging” to “SPARE POOL”

6. Select the green "Save" button when complete. 

7. Take the device and place it in a bin labeled "Aaron's - TC8300 Spare Pool"

The Pending Staging process is complete.
