Zoom is the standard meeting software for Strategic Systems. Licenses are given to employees on an as-needed basis. Please contact your manager to request a license. If you previously had a GoToMeeting license you will be automatically transferred over.
Request your license. Once added, you will receive an email with a link to click to setup.
Verify your date of birth
Select 'Sign In With Google'
-If you are signed in with multiple Google accounts, ensure you select your work account.
Click 'Create Account' - This may not appear if you've previously had a zoom account.
You should then be dropped into the Zoom dashboard
From there, click on the 'Download' linked below 'Chrome Extension'. This will enable direct addition of Zoom meetings to your calendar invites in Google.
Next, go to:
-Click on 'Download' under 'Zoom client for meetings'. This will ensure you have the full desktop and latest up to date client.
Once you have installed the latest client. Click 'Sign In'
As before, click 'Sign In with Google'
This will bring you to your Zoom application. This application should be used to either Join other meetings or start an immediate (unscheduled) meeting.
From Google calendar - Create a new meeting as you would in the past. After setting the Title, Date, and Time, select 'Make it a Zoom Meeting'
After clicking, the Location and body of the invite will be populated with the proper information. Referring to the invite at the time of the meeting will allow you to click the link to start the meeting, or you can access it from the Zoom application.
