RS507 - REX Staging Process

*** This guide is the same as the REX pending staging process. If the device obtained was from the spare pool, no other staging will be needed. STILL CHECK THE DEVICE to confirm that it can power on, buttons are functional, the strap is adjustable and the device can scan a barcode. If the criteria is met, move on to fulfilling the RMA  *** 

1. Grab a RS507 and a battery.

2. Insert the battery into the device.

   • Wait for a few seconds. A few beeps will sound off with a few red lights indicating that the device is powering on (yellowish-green lights may flash intermittently after the red lights come on; this is fine)

3. Test the RS507s finger strap to make sure that it can be adjusted and is secure.

4. Test the RS507s scanner and scanner button.

   • The scanner button should have a slight click sound when pressed.

   • The scanner (when the button is pressed and held down) should look like a red cross.

5. Scan a barcode with the RS507.  

   • Three beeps will sound off (this means that the device was able to scan the barcode). 

Staging is complete. Proceed to the Supply Chain RMA Fulfillment Process
