If a device is is reflecting an off contract status in the Zebra warranty system, follow the below steps to ensure the device is routed properly.
Verify the Contract Type on either the Repair tab or under the Asset data and follow the below steps:
If the device shows Zebra Repair, review the End Date field to confirm it is in the future. If the date has passed, then the device is likely off contract and a system update is needed. Reach out to Customer Service for further guidance on contract status. Once the resolution is identified, update the Contract Type accordingly.
If the device shows Software Only, review the End Date field to confirm it is in the future. If he date has passed, then the device is likely off software only contract and a system update is needed. Reach out to Customer Service for futhre guidance on contracdt status. Once the resolution is identified, update the Contract Type accordingly.
If the device shows Off Contract, Update the Resolution Category to off contract on the RMA. Update the asset status to Off Contract. Put the device in the appropriate business unit's bin.
