ET50 - REX Staging Process

ET5X Enrollment and Android Update 

1. Scan serial into REX RMA and Assets

2. Set to RMA evaluation and Asset sst / awaiting evaluation

3. Search for all devices and in the Search bar type “Hardware Serial” and select it. Then select “= is” and then enter the Tablet serial. 

4. Select done when complete. After Searching the serial In SOTI Delete the Tablet Serial.

Update Procedure for ET50 ANDROID 6

1. Ensure the ET5x is fully charged. 

2. Grab the microSD card with  ET5X0M30XPUEFXXXXX. 

3. Open the access door on the right side of the ET5x. 

4. Insert the microSD card in the microSD slot. 

5. If the ET5x is on, turn off. 

6. Press and release the “power” button and then press and hold the “volume down” button until the following message appears on the screen: “Continue holding the key for 2 second(s) to enter fast boot mode Release key now to load the Recovery console …” .

7. Release Volume Down Key as soon as this message appears to enter the recovery mode.

• Run FEF  factory reset if already on latest os and delete from SOTI 

• UEF is full update base package 2.14.30 (If not on latest set to base then upgrade to lifeguard update patch)

• CFE lifeguard update patch

8. Reboot device 

9. Skip all process 

10. Uncheck Protect this device

11. Skip pin set up

12. Open stage now application

13. Scan Profile for StageNow: OD-ET50-A6-AgentEnroll-MX7_2-2025

14. Press and Hold the yellow barcode button at top right corner to activate the camera to scan the barcode.

15. StageNow will begin staging and MobiControl will open automatically to begin enrolling. 

16. Hit Exit after successfully staging

17. Open Mobicontrol App and await for device to Enroll

18. After successful enrollment device should be enrolled in SOTI

19. Check configurations and await for configurations to install. 

20. Select device name in SOTI

21. Select the 3 dots and upgrade agent or Upgrade agent Button (Shield and up arrow Button) 

22. Select start now and upgrade agent 

23. Device should disconnect from SOTI and reconnect after completion

24. Open mobi control agent app on device and await agent status to be connected. 

25. Change device name if sparepool-xxxx change to defective device name 

26. Send script to admin mode 

27. Go to settings when the android screen appears. 

28. Select Wifi setting

29. Hit the three dots in the top right corner

30. Check saved networks and look for WIFI_SC_BSD and confirm it is saved.

31. Send Script back into user mode.

32. Double check all configuration settings are green, device name is accurate to the RMA. 

33. Select the dot next to the replacement tablet name in Soti 

34. Search for compliance tablets in DEVICE GROUPS. 

35. Then drag and drop the device Icon into the Compliance tablet group in Soti. 

36. The device has now been configured and is ready for Spare pool or RMA fulfillment. 

37. RMA and Asset Update once completed

Update Procedure for ET51 ANDROID 6

1. Remove battery and insert sd into sd slot

2. Power on device and hold volume up button right after the device vibrates until Recovery screen appears

3. Android 8: 1.30.04.U15 is the verified OS level 

4. If not on Android 8 upgrade or downgrade depending on base OS

5. Downgrade to U00 base package first if Above Android 8

6. Upgrade to U00 base package if Android OS is below Android 8 

7. After Downgrade / Upgrade Reboot device 

8. Once on welcome screen reboot device and HOLD volume up button until you reach Recovery Screen again 

9. Verify OS level has been downloaded.

10. Now upgrade to latest verified OS level Android 8: 1.30.04.U15

11. Reboot device 

12. Once on the home screen Restart device and hold the Volume Up key until you reach recovery mode again. 

13. confirm latest OS has been downloaded successfully

14. After the OS has been loaded, Search it in SOTI and double check if it has beenDeleted.

17. Connect to SST Guest 

18. Camera will open once device connects 

19. Scan QR code

20. Select Accept and Continue 

21. Allow device to automatically enroll in SOTI and update google services

22. Open MOBIControl and confirm Enrollment Status as Enrolled and Agent Status as connected

23. If successful Veyer Splash Screen will appear

24. The device should repopulate in SOTI. Search in SOTI and Confirm. (ET51 TABLETS WILL BE DROPPED INTO THE DEVICE GROUP AND NOT COMPLIANCE TABLET GROUP)

25. Confirm All configurations are installed and green Under configurations tab in SOTI 

26. Check all applications on device and makes sure they open and run 

27. After configuration update device replacement in REX RMAs and fulfill RMA.
