Velocity License Required

The TC72s will need to be licensed for Velocity. Solutions Engineering will update the Work Order with the Velocity License, serial number, and user number on the work Roll Out Details sheet. You will be provided barcodes for scanning in the license. WiFi MAC address will also need to be captured for each serial number. Example Image below:

Downgrade using StageNow barcode
- Use Profile Name: A10_DG_10.16.10-U00 - Barcode type PDF417JS for devices on Android 13 and above
- Use Profile Name: A10_DG_10.16.10-U00 - Barcode type PDF417 for devices on Android 11 and below
After restart device will be on Hi there screen
Scan Profile Name: A10-UPG-10.16.10-U138 StageNow barcodes
After Restart confirm Build number (Settings > About Phone > Build number = 10-16-10.00-QG-U138-STD-HEL-04)

Staging

There are multiple sites available for TE Connectivity. There are 2 staging barcodes used for each site: WiFi and Image. The same steps are used below for each site.

Open StageNow
Before scanning the next barcode > Confirm the WiFi signal is full and connected
Scan the site WiFi barcode
- For Tullahoma-TN1: Use the MAC Based Passwords and associate the correct device number from the roll-out details with the corresponding device name.
Select to Stage Another Profile > Scan the site Image barcode
The Enterprise Home Screen will appear with Velocity
- Tullahoma TN1 will have Velocity & Insight Mobile
Select the 3 dots on top right corner > Select Tools
Select StageNow > Press Exit
Select Admin Login
Enter password: symbol
Privileged Settings for admin window appears > Select OK
Press Back
Select Settings app
Select Network & Internet
Select Wi-Fi
Scroll down > Select Saved Networks > Confirm SITE WiFi is saved (example name starts with devicenet-kxxx or TEdigfac-tn1)
Press circle home icon
FOR SITE TULLAHOMA TN1 - Open DataWedge > Confirm Velocity profile listed > Select triangle Back button
Select 3 dots menu on top right corner > Select Tools > Select Admin Logout
FOR SITE TULLAHOMA TN1 - Open Insight Mobile
- Select I UNDERSTAND
- Select ALLOW ONLY WHILE USING THE APP
- Select CANCEL
- Select ENABLE
- Switch toggle ON for ProGlove Keyboard
- Select OK
- Select OK
- Select CHOOSE
- Select ProGlove Keyboard
- Confirm Profile 1 listed for Configuration
- Select Circle Home
Open Velocity > Confirm SITE HOST profile is listed
Tap HOST profile name > Select Add License
Scan in each information requested with the license barcodes provided by Solutions Engineering
- Licensee Name
- Serial Number
- Expiration Date
- Authorization Code
- User Limit (manually type in the limit number)
- User Number (manually type in the user number)
Press Add License and License Added Successfully message will appear
Select the hamburger menu (3 black lines) on bottom right corner > Press Yellow X
Re- open Host profile to confirm the License prompt does not return
Select the hamburger menu (3 black lines) on bottom right corner > Press Yellow X
Press home circle and remove battery
Remove microSD card and replace the access door cover
Open Work Order Roll Out Details sheet
Scan Serial Number and WiFi MAC

QA

Insert battery and boot into Android Recovery
1. Press and hold both power & PTT key
2. Release the keys after vibration and Zebra logo appears
3. Android Recovery menu will boot up
Confirm OS build number 10-16-10.00-QG-U138-STD-HEL-04 > Select Reboot System Now
Select the 3 dots on top right corner > Select Tools
Select Admin Login
Enter password: symbol
Privileged Settings for admin window appears > Select OK
Press Back
Select Settings app
Select Network & Internet
Select Wi-Fi
Scroll down > Select Saved Networks > Confirm SITE WiFi is saved (example name starts with devicenet-kxxx)
Press circle home icon
Select 3 dots menu on top right corner > Select Tools > Select Admin Logout
FOR SITE TULLAHOMA TN1 - Open Insight Mobile > Select Cancel > Confirm Profile 1 listed for configuration > Press circle Home
Open Velocity > Confirm SITE HOST profile is listed
Tap HOST profile name
Select the hamburger menu (3 black lines) on bottom right corner
Select About > confirm Licenses for is listed > Press OK
Select the hamburger menu (3 black lines) on bottom right corner > Press Yellow X
Press home circle and remove battery
