Steps to Setup Zebra ZQ 521 Printers for models (ZQ52-AUN0100-00 / ZQ52-BUW0000-00)
NOTE: You’ll need receipt media inside the unit to complete the provisioning process.
Using Zendesk/Netsuite, download the pdf of the work order that is being fulfilled.
Compose an email with attention to (Luckow, David (David.J.Luckow@delta.com))

Body = Hi David, We have a printer order for a TechOps use case for WiFi Configuration. Attached are the order details and the WiFi spreadsheet. Will you be able to assist in getting this defined for the __ printer(s)? <<< Indicate the number of printers in the work order.
Attached Files = Work order PDF file that was downloaded and the “ZQ521 Configuration Template” excel file located in : Google Drive>My Drive> Strategic>Technical Services> Customer Files> Delta> REX> ZQ52X> ZQ52X_TOC_WiFi> ZQ521 Customer Configuration > ZQ521 Configuration Template
Once the “ZQ521 Configuration Template” excel file has been filled out by the customer and sent back, save the file as "ZQ521 Configuration SO#_____" inside the ZQ521 Customer Configuration folder. <<< SO# found in the work order.
In the event that the customer doesn't fill out the “ZQ521 Configuration Template” excel file and sends the the config information by text through email, extract the information and fill out the “ZQ521 Configuration Template” excel file manually. Save the file as "ZQ521 Configuration SO#_____" inside the ZQ521 Customer Configuration folder. <<< SO# found in the work order.
IF THERE ARE SPARE PRINTERS WITH NO ASSIGNED IP - the firmware upgrade and asset tag placement is still performed.
Find the file located in Google Drive>My Drive> Strategic>Technical Services> Customer Files> Delta> REX> ZQ52X> ZQ52X_TOC_WiFi> ZQ521 WIFI Configuration > PRDLTOCPRINT01configZQ520WiFi_Rev02.
Also find the file located in Google Drive>My Drive> Strategic>Technical Services> Customer Files> Delta> REX> ZQ52X> ZQ52X_TOC_WiFi> Configuring for TechOps warehouse.pdf.
Open the PRDLTOCPRINT01configZQ520WiFi_Rev02 file with note pad
Use the "ZQ521 Configuration Template" that was saved "ZQ521 Configuration SO_____" to make the changes in the "PRDLTOCPRINT01configZQ520WiFi_Rev02" file
While inside the "PRDLTOCPRINT01configZQ520WiFi_Rev02" file, change the following variables marked in red using the new variables that are inside the "ZQ521 Configuration SO_____" file.
! U1 setvar "ip.addr" "10.4.33.253" - IP Address
! U1 setvar "ip.netmask" "255.255.255.0" - Network Mask
! U1 setvar "ip.gateway" "10.4.33.1" - Gateway
! U1 setvar "device.friendly_name" "patltoctestp01" - Hostname
If needed, refer to the "Configuring for TechOps warehouse.pdf" file to help guide you on the changes that's needed for the "PRDLTOCPRINT01configZQ520WiFi_Rev02" file.
Once the changes are made, save the "PRDLTOCPRINT01configZQ520WiFi_Rev02" file as "ZQ520WiFi SO___Serial___". <<< SO# found in the work order / use the same SO# as the "ZQ521 Configuration SO_____" file.
When complete, Open Control Panel > View Devices and Printers
Select the correct printer from the list and right-click.
Select Printing Preferences > Tools> Action > Send file.
Select the three dots at the bottom right-hand of the screen
Search for file: Google Drive>My Drive> Strategic>Technical Services> Customer Files> Delta> REX> ZQ52X> ZQ52X_TOC_WiFi> ZQ521 Approved FW>ZV91_21_20Z.zpl **Or latest approved**
The printer will begin downloading firmware and then restart
Once it restarts, it will continue to load the file. It will be completed when the configuration begins to print.
Once the configuration label prints, tear it off and dispose.
Search for file: Google Drive>My Drive> Strategic>Technical Services> Customer Files> Delta> REX> ZQ52X> ZQ52X_TOC_WiFi> ZQ521 WIFI Configuration> ZQ520WiFi SO___Serial___.cpcl (the file you saved earlier)
Click Send button.
The printer will push the wifi config and restart.
Browse and select "calibration" located in Google Drive>My Drive> Strategic>Technical Services> Customer Files> Delta> REX> ZQ52X> ZQ52X_TOC_WiFi> calibration
An envelope will appear on screen and the device will restart shortly after.
Print the configuration label. There're two ways to do this. Pick one
In "Printing Preferences" > "Tools". Select "Print" under the tab "Command type:" and select "Print configuration label" under the tab "Command name:". Click the "Send" button.
On the device, hold down both the "Check Mark" button and the "Feed" button (button to the right of the check mark button) for 5 seconds.
Once the configuration label has been printed, tear it off and highlight the following lines:
Name - Serial Number
Firmware - "V91.21.20Z" or latest firmware (Located in "Program" section)
Friendly Name - DNS Name (Located in "Bluetooth" section)
IP Address - static IP configured (Located in "Wireless" section)
Netwmask - netmask IP configured (Located in "Wireless" section)
Gateway - gateway IP configured (Located in "Wireless" section)
Operating Mode - infrastructure (Located in "Wireless" section)
Preamble Length - long (Located in "Wireless" section)
Security - psk (Located in "Wireless" section)
Stored ESSID - PRDLTOCPRINT01 (Located in "Wireless" section)
DHCP - off (Located in "Wireless" section)
Alternate TCP Port - 9100 (Located in "Active Network Information" section)
In-activity Timeout - 0 (Located in "Power Management" section)
Print Mode - Tear off (Located in "ZPL Configuration Information" section)
Remove receipt media from device.
Create a barcode with the device's Wifi information.
Refer to the "WiFi_Label" file to see what the label looks like and where to place it on the unit.
Asset tag the device and the device's box.
Refer to the "ZQ52X Asset Tag Placement" file when placing the asset tag on the unit.
Roll the configuration label up and insert media into the device. - Staging is complete
Record the serial number and asset tag number in the "ZQ521 Configuration SO#_____" excel file. Note the spare units also.
Update the Work Order spreadsheet > Roll out details > serial number, asset tag, MAC, & IP. Note the spare units also.
**Asset Tags are supplied by Delta, but Bluetooth MAC labels are created by SST Tech**
