**Process uses files found on shared drive at Technical Services\Customer Files\Delta\REX\ZQ52X\ZQ521_RFID**
Steps to Setup Zebra ZQ 521 Printers for model (ZQ52-BUW0300-00)
NOTE: You’ll need receipt media and RFID black mark media inside the unit to complete the provisioning process.
***Begin the process with receipt media inside the unit first.
Open Control Panel > View Devices and Printers
Select the correct printer from the list and right-click.
Select Printing Preferences > Tools> Action > Send file.
Select the three dots at the bottom right-hand of the screen
Search for file: Google Drive>My Drive> Strategic>Technical Services> Customer Files> Delta> REX> ZQ52X>ZQ521_RFID> ZQ521 Approved FW> ZV91_21_20Z.zpl **Or latest approved**
The printer will begin downloading firmware and then restart
Once it restarts, it will continue to load the file. It will be completed when the configuration begins to print.
Once the configuration label prints, tear it off and discard.
Browse and select “1_ZQ520RFID_Setup_Rev02”
Device will restart. Wait for the device to power back on to continue.
***Switch the receipt media with the RFID black mark media before proceeding.
Browse and select “2_JC_calibrate_withTearOffMode”
Device will restart. Wait for the device to power back on to continue.
Browse and select “3_appprint”
Unit will print out a label with numbers. Refer to "IMG_0045.jpg" image to compare results. Image is located in: Google Drive>Technical Services>Customer Files>Delta>REX>ZQ52X>ZQ521_RFID
***Switch the RFID black mark media with the receipt media before proceeding.
Print the device's config profile.
Do this by holding down both the "Check Mark" button and the "Feed" button (button to the right of the check mark button) for 5 seconds.
Once the configuration label prints, tear it off and highlight the device's software version. Version should be "ZV91_21_04Z" or latest approved.
Remove receipt media from device.
Create a bluetooth barcode using the device's bluetooth MAC address.
Place barcode on the device. Refer to the "ZQ52X Asset Tag_Bluetooth Placement" file when placing the bluetooth barcode on the unit.
Asset tag the device and the device's box
Refer to the "ZQ52X Asset Tag_Bluetooth Placement" file when placing the asset tag on the unit.
Roll the configuration label up and insert media into the device. - Staging is complete
**Asset Tags are supplied by Delta, but Bluetooth MAC labels are created by SST Tech**
