Expected Deliveries: We typically receive two primary deliveries each weekday, one from UPS and one from FedEx.
Delivery Window: These deliveries usually arrive between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Each shipment will contain RMA packages for various customers.
Upon receipt, place all incoming packages onto the designated REX cart.
Carefully sort the packages by customer, placing each one on the correct shelf.
Verify that the customer name on each package matches the name assigned to the shelf.
Proceed to the "Labels & Boxes" section
Physical Preparation
Before you begin, identify your goal for this device.
To prepare the device for check-in at a later time, follow Procedure A.
To complete the full check-in process now, follow Procedure B.
Procedure A: Staging for Later Check-In
Retrieve a "Techmer PM" box.
Remove the device from the box.
Carefully cut the shipping label from the box.
Secure the label to the device using a rubber band.
Place the prepared device into the "Techmer PM Check-In" bin.
Procedure B: Preparing for Immediate Check-In
Retrieve a "Techmer PM" box.
Remove the device from the box.
Carefully cut the shipping label from the box.
With the device and its label in hand, proceed directly to the "REX RMA Update" section to complete the check-in.
Retrieve a device from either the check-in bin or its original box. If taking from a box, ensure you also have the corresponding shipping label, as it contains the RMA number.
Log in to the Techmer PM portal and navigate to the RMAs section from the main menu.
Note: The portal defaults to the "Dashboard" view upon login.
Locate the RMA number on the shipping label (typically found in the bottom-left corner). Use the search icon (a magnifying glass) in the top-right corner of the portal to search for this number.
IMPORTANT: If you cannot identify an RMA number on the label, stop the process and contact your manager for assistance.
Select the correct RMA from the search results. A new panel with the RMA details will appear on the right side of the screen.
Critically verify that the serial number on the physical device in your hand matches the serial number listed in the REX RMA details.
WARNING: If the serial numbers do not match, stop immediately and contact your manager. Do not proceed.
On the RMA tab, find the Status field and update it to "RMA Evaluation".
Note: This field's previous status is usually "Fulfilled/Awaiting RMA Return."
Next, select the Repair tab.
In the Repair Status field, update the value to "RMA Evaluation".
Note: This field's default value is often "Pending Receipt."
Click the green Save button to confirm and complete the update.
Proceed to the "REX Asset Update" section
Select the "Assets" option in the REX portal.
Use the magnifying glass on the top right hand corner to search for the asset (paste the serial number).
Select the searched asset (another UI will appear to the right side of the screen).
Edit the following fields:
Location ID = Select "SST"
Status = Select "AWAITING EVALUATION"
Select the green "Save" button when complete.
Take the device and place it in a bin labeled "Awaiting Evaluation"
Check-In Process is Complete.
